• Police in the UK have opened a criminal investigation into the Glastonbury performances of Irish rap group Kneecap and the British punk duo Bob Vylan. 
• A 42-year-old woman has been arrested by PSNI officers investigating the murder of mother-of-two Sarah Montgomery in Co Down.
• Intel is set to cut up to 195 jobs at its chip manufacturing plant in Leixlip, Co Kildare. 
• A 25-year-old “sportsman” has been jailed for six years and three months for the manslaughter of a man who died after he was assaulted during a melee outside a Kildare pub nearly three years ago. 
• Fine Gael councillor Ray McAdam has been elected as Dublin’s newest Lord Mayor.
• Stena Line has announced the closure of its Rosslare – Cherbourg route, ending travel with the service between Ireland and France.
